I created this children’s story a long time ago as just a poem about a city at the top of the world. Over time, I started to sketch the characters and eventually, while teaching English in South Korea, I finally sat down to create the artwork and create the full children’s story book.

Bawn is a snowgirl who lives in Snowflake City, at the top of the world. She is a sensitive, loyal and brave little girl with a creative mind.

Bawn’s very best friend is the inventor and adventurer, Penguin Joe. Whenever Penguin Joe is not out having adventures and exploring the world, he lives with Bawn and her family in Snowflake City.

Bawn is just a young snow girl and as she grows she will learn that she can do many wonderful things with her growing abilities. She will need these for her future adventures.

Bawn’s special friend, Amy, travelled from the bottom of the world in a frosted boat carried on a wishing wave to see her snow friend. It was lucky that she did as Bawn needed her friends on this adventure.

In the kingdom of Gack, Bawn and her friends are helped by the great big blue snow cat to get back home, and help him to find his iced snowball of string which had been carried off on the wings of a Winterfly.
